With the cold temperatures and early season snow we received today, we were able to go out and groom mid-morning. At this time the trails are rolled for skate skiing, and a classic track has also been set. We hope you have the opportunity to get out and enjoy some November skiing on the trails!
The full 5 km loop was rolled at mid-day today. It is groomed for skate skiing, however there is not enough of a base to set a classic track. Use caution as there are thin spots in some places.
The new snow we received yesterday was groomed out last night, and with the cooler temperatures the trails have set up for a great day of skiing.
With moderating temperatures forecast for today, it will be terrific for both classic and skate skiing.
Get out and enjoy it!
Despite the recent warm weather and rain showers, the base held up very well, and firmed up over night.
The trails were groomed this morning for skate skiing, and feature a firm base with machine tilled powder on top. The base will continue to soften as temperatures rise later in the day. A classic track is also set.
With a some light snow forecast for tonight, and moderate temperatures tomorrow, it is shaping up to be a great weekend of skiing and snow shoeing.
A special shout out to our awesome volunteer groomers who continue to do a fantastic job keeping the trails in top shape despite the weather.
Trails were groomed again late yesterday, and are in great shape for both skate and classic skiing. With warmer temperatures forecast for today and tomorrow, now is the time to get out and enjoy them!
The hard pack and glaze on the trails has been ground up and tilled. A classic track and skate lane has been set. Overall conditions are good on the main 5KM loop, but are still firm and fast in places. Please use caution on the downhill sections. Additional trails will be worked as time allows.
With the rain and cooler temperatures overnight and this morning, the trails are currently very firm and icy. If you plan to ski use caution, particularly on the downhill sections. We will wait for the predicted warm-up to groom.
After hosting over 200 high school ski racers yesterday, the trails were re-groomed this morning with both classic tracks and a skating lane. The snow is plentiful and soft, and with the warmer temperatures it is a perfect day to get out and ski.
Not into skiing? Check out the snowshoe trails, which have also been quite popular with this recent snowfall.
The trails are in superb shape thanks to the continued efforts of our grooming team. Classic tracks and a skate lane were set last night. High school invitational ski race on the trails today from 3:30 - 5:30 PM. This is a classic technique race, so please yield the right of way to all racers.
Our volunteer groomers have been hard at work packing and grooming the trails for skate and classic skiing. Simply stated, it doesn't get any better than this!
Be advised that a high school invitational race will be taking place on Friday February 8th from 3:30 -5:30 PM. If you are on the trails at this time, please yield to the racers. Thank you!
